My name is Rachel. Allow me to introduce myself. I’m a photographer, graphic designer, and writer. Creativity is my lifeblood — it’s what gets me up in the morning.
Beauty, color, and stories are all around us, and I love bringing them together into a cohesive and visually appealing whole. Whether I’m capturing a moment through my viewfinder, sharing the story of a local community member, or communicating a message visually, I enjoy creating content through a variety of media.
In 2013, I received my B.A. in Journalism/Media Writing from Taylor University. Since then, I’ve made the move from Indiana to North Carolina and done a variety of freelance projects, in addition to working at the North Carolina School Boards Association. I’m also embracing my love of design by pursuing my second degree: Advertising & Graphic Design at Wake Tech.
I am excited about adding this new skillset to my toolbox. I enjoy visual communication and look forward to the possibilities ahead with graphic design. I’m also excited about becoming a better photographer, and combining that and design with my writing experience.
So far, my experience has primarily been with words. Words are powerful. But so are photos and strong designs. This is why I am passionate about solving problems and positively impacting others through content. It is a great avenue for making a difference.
While I’m still on a journey of building on my experience and honing my craft, there is one thing that is certain, I will keep being creative and making content for myself and others. I invite you to follow along with me as I embark down this exciting path.
